Since January 3, fewer than 5,000 new coronavirus infections have been reported in Austria for the first time. From Sunday to Monday, 4,111 new infections were registered in Austria. This is below the seven-day average of 7,075. Currently, 92,138 people in Austria are actively infected with the coronavirus.
The seven-day incidence is 556.42. In the past 24 hours, 80,428 new PCR tests were performed. This results in a positive rate of 5.11 percent.
There are also seven new deaths associated with Covid-19 infection to report. The pandemic has thus claimed 18,054 lives in Austria.
Currently, 1,492 people are being treated in hospitals, and 124 receive intensive care.
365 Corona vaccinations were administered on Sunday. This included only 20 first-time vaccinations and 50 second and 295 third vaccinations.
